Ashrafpur Kichhauchha is a town in Ambedkar Nagar district with the nearest railway station at Akbarpur, about 25 km away.
It is well known as the shrine of famous Sufi Saint Saiyad Makhdhum Shah Jahangir Asharfi. He was born in Semnan, Iran, and made a notable contribution to the advancement of the Chishti lineage in particular. The saint had travelled widely to spread the message of peace to the people. The Kichhauchha Dargah Sharif is built over a small hill which is surrounded by a pond. The whole complex is decorated with marble, tiles and glasses. Thousands of pilgrims from all over India and elsewhere visit the shrine throughout the year.
