Due to the Badrinarayan (Nar-Narayan) temple at the ghat, it was later named as Badrinarayan Ghat. The Bandrinarayan temple located on the banks of the Ganges in Kashi is considered a symbol of the Badrinarayan temple located in the Himalayas. In front of the ghat, the position of Nar-Narayan pilgrimage is considered in the Ganges.
